Everything Finantrix does for your money

Every part of the app, one card each. What you log in one place shows up everywhere: on the web, on your phone and in the chat.

Transactions

Expenses, income and transfers, with everything that happened this month.

  • Log one in seconds: amount, category and account in a tap.
  • Picks the category from what you type (“Uber” → Transportation).
  • Sort the uncategorized ones with suggestions, one at a time.
  • Split, duplicate or delete, with “Undo.”
  • Filter by date, account, category, partner and amount. Export to CSV.

Accounts

Where your money is, kept apart from what you owe.

  • Banks, digital wallets, cash, savings and investments.
  • Your accounts by type in one bar; your cards, on their own.
  • Transfers between accounts, with the fee if there is one.
  • Hide an account so it doesn't count toward your totals.

Credit cards

With their real cycle: closing date, due date and credit limit.

  • How much of the statement to pay, and when it's due.
  • Used versus available credit, like a fuel gauge.
  • Purchases in installments (3, 6, 12, 24, 36).
  • Pay the card from another account in one tap.

Categories and budgets

Where the money goes, and how much you want to spend.

  • Groups and subcategories, each with its own icon and color.
  • A budget per category: a fixed amount or your average from past months.
  • A monthly limit and a savings goal.
  • An alert when you reach the % you choose.

Loans

What people owe you, what you owe, and what you're paying off in installments.

  • Payments of any amount, with a timeline of every one.
  • Fixed-installment loans with their payment schedule.
  • Everything you have going with someone, on their page.
  • Send them a reminder over WhatsApp in one tap.

Subscriptions

Netflix, Spotify, the gym: everything that charges you on its own.

  • What they cost you per month (yearly ones, prorated).
  • Upcoming charges: this week, this month, later on.
  • Log a charge in one tap, or pause one.

Partners

Share with your partner, your family or a friend.

  • Invite them with your @username or your code.
  • Share an account or a loan; everyone sees their own part.
  • Your partner's payments land in your Alerts so you can log them.

Alerts

What needs your attention, under one bell.

  • What's due: cards, subscriptions and installments.
  • Budgets that are getting close or going over.
  • Invitations and payments from your partners.
  • Notifications in your browser and on your phone.

A Home that's all yours

A dashboard you arrange however you like.

  • Drag, resize or remove any card.
  • Available money, this month's income and expenses, categories, accounts, loans and your goal.
  • Tap a month, a category or an account to filter everything.

Reports

To understand your months, not just look at them.

  • A summary with income, expenses and spending per day.
  • A category-by-month matrix, to see what's going up.
  • Tables of transactions and categories.

Monthly receipt

Your month on one receipt-style slip, ready for PDF.

  • Summary, expenses and income by category, bank loans and loans.
  • Day-by-day detail; you choose what to include.
  • Print it or save it as a PDF.

Your data is yours

Take it with you or connect it to anything you like.

  • A full backup in JSON, the same one the app uses.
  • Transactions in CSV for your spreadsheet.
  • A personal API and webhooks for your own tools.
  • Light or dark theme, colors, icons and a “hide amounts” mode.
Transactions

Where the money went, at a glance

Above your transactions: how much you've spent so far and how you compare with last month at the same point. Tap a color to see just that category.

✓An honest comparison: during the current month, last month is cut off at the same day.
✓Hidden accounts don't count, and neither do transfers between your own accounts.
✓Shortcuts: N for a new transaction and / to search.

Your card, with its actual cycle

Finantrix knows when your statement closes and when your payment is due. It tells you how much of the statement to pay, when it's due and how much credit you have left, and it reminds you before the date.

✓Paying your card isn't an expense: it's a transfer from your account, so nothing gets counted twice.
✓Installment purchases spread across your upcoming statements.

How it works

Get started in a minute

Four steps to get going, plus a guide to the things you'll do most day to day.

Sign in with Google

At app.finantrix.cc or in the Android app, with your Google account. The first time, your account is created for you.

Add your accounts

Your bank, your wallet, your cash and your cards, with today's balance. Cards get their credit limit, closing date and due date.

Log what happens

With “New transaction” on the web or your phone, or with a message to the assistant. It shows up everywhere instantly.

Review and decide

Home gives you the big picture; Alerts, what's due; Reports, how your months are going.

Quick guide

How do I…?

Log an expense or income
  1. Tap New transaction (or press N on the web).
  2. Choose Expense or Income and type the amount.
  3. Tap the account and the category; the description is optional.
  4. Save. If you paid by card, choose how many installments.

You can also message the assistant: “lunch 12.50 chase.”

Pay my credit card
  1. Go to Accounts and open the card (the one with a dot has a payment due).
  2. Tap Pay card, then choose the account it comes from and the amount.
  3. Done: it's logged as a transfer, not an expense, so it isn't counted twice.
Move money between my accounts
  1. In New transaction, choose Transfer.
  2. Tap the account it leaves and the one it goes into (or the button that swaps them).
  3. If there's a fee, enter it in its field.
Set a budget for a category
  1. Go to Categories and open the category.
  2. Under Budget, choose Use my average from past months or type a fixed amount.
  3. In Settings › Budget & goals, choose at what % you get an alert.
Log a loan or a payment
  1. In Loans, tap New loan: “Owed to me,” “I owe” or “Installments.”
  2. For a payment, open the loan and tap Log payment (or Log collection if they owe you), then choose the amount and the account.
  3. For installment loans, tap the installment on the schedule to pay it.
Keep track of my subscriptions
  1. In Subscriptions, tap New subscription and pick a popular one or type your own.
  2. Add the amount, the billing day and the account it's paid from.
  3. When you're charged, open it and tap Log the charge.
Share with my partner
  1. In Partners, invite them with their @username or their code.
  2. Once they accept, open the account or loan you want to share and tap Share.
  3. Their payments land in Alerts so you can log them in your account.
Link WhatsApp or Telegram
  1. On the web, go to Settings › Assistants.
  2. Tap Get a code under WhatsApp or Telegram.
  3. Send that code to the bot (it's good for 15 minutes). Once it confirms, you can start messaging it.
Sort uncategorized transactions
  1. In Transactions, tap the “X uncategorized transactions” notice.
  2. For each one, we suggest three categories: tap the right one.
  3. You can apply it in one go to the others with the same description.
Leave an account out of my totals
  1. In Accounts, open the account and tap Hide.
  2. It's still there and you'll see it separately, but it doesn't count toward your balances, income or expenses. You can show it again any time.
Get my monthly receipt or export my data
  1. Receipt: in Transactions, tap Receipt; choose the month and what to include, then tap Print or save PDF.
  2. Backup or CSV: in Settings › Backup & export.
Undo something I deleted

When you delete a transaction, a notice with Undo shows up for a few seconds. Tap it and everything goes back to how it was.

Yes, through the web: open app.finantrix.cc in Safari, tap Share and then “Add to Home Screen.” It'll work just like an app. The native app is for Android.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The web has everything. The Android app adds alerts on your phone, and the WhatsApp or Telegram assistant lets you log things without opening anything.
Does it connect to my bank?
No, it doesn't connect directly to any bank. You log your transactions yourself, or the assistant does it for you from a message.

It shows up on the web instantly, and the other way around. The web, the app and the assistant use the same account and the same data.
